The Gantry

Moth gantries are one of the areas that take the highest shock loading on the boat. I decided to keep with the aluminium fabrication because the benefits of aluminium outweighed the small weight saving gained through using carbon tubes. Aluminium is easier to join and repair.

Nearly all the gantries that Full Force have built have been adjustable but I wanted to refine the system. So now we have a fully articulating gantry with accurate pin control. This has a really quick, on the water, adjustabilty.

Refinements in July 2006 have further neatened and strengthened the gantry.
