The Wand

The central wand has been an idea I have been keen on for a long time, to make the boat symmetrical from tack to tack, to improve the look of the boat, and to give less drag and less windage. It is also less prone to unecessary breakage.

I felt we had to go for an internal system. Once again we sacrificed build time for the good of the boat. I decided on a rebated wand in the keel line and a totally internal rod system. This has the added effect of making the deck layout very clean. Naturally, with the majority of the wand system internal, and all external parts bespokely manufactured in stainless steel, it is extremely durable.
